Our IT system provides transparency with regard to all movements and inventories. Container requirements and free inventory are made visible centrally, brought together centrally and planned centrally. Free inventory is thus immediately spotted and can be fed back into circulation straight away.
Lead times and turnover rates are continuously measured and optimised. We immediately recognise where and why the flow is interrupted. Our back office intervenes in the cycle in a targeted manner and resolves these blockages.
Our performance management shows at all times where there are temporary or permanent inventory surpluses. Upon request, we organise the utilisation of these surpluses and integrate the quantities into other sprintBOX cycles, or we organise recovery or sale.
ELIMINATE THE RISK OF WASTAGE
Our IT system registers each movement in the cycle. Using the logic of double-entry bookkeeping, we ensure correct account balances for all participants in the cycle at all times, including the so-called in-transit inventories with transport service providers. Our back office immediately recognises and sorts out differences or discrepancies in each individual movement. We thus have a constant, reliable movement and inventory comparison.
With the focus on the physical inventory, we organise container inventories in a fixed schedule, reconcile the results with the account balances and take care of inventory post-processing.
OPTIMISING TRANSPORT COSTS
Our comprehensive, decentralised network of depots, the central IT system and the back office structure form the basis for our transport optimisation. We supply container demands using the shortest route to the nearest depot, and we likewise fetch empty containers via the shortest route. We thus reduce long transportation routes, saving on costs, time and CO2.
We package all incoming and outgoing transports on a daily basis using our hybrid transport network. We map regular and scheduled transports via our own milk run and shuttle transports. We thus achieve the highest possible utilisation of capacity.
